Our Executive Team is responsible for the day to day management of our operations and the implementation of the corporate strategy to ensure we meet the needs of customer, shareholders and stakeholders.
Steve McLean has over eighteen years’ experience in investment banking and equity capital markets. He commenced his career with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, before working with J.P. Morgan in Australia and Europe. He has led equity transactions which have raised over $50 billion. Steve is also a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed Litigation Capital Management Ltd.

Mr Tony Louka has more than 20 years of industry experience in Board, executive and management roles in the energy and retail sectors. Tony was Head of Energy and Services at Woolworths Group Limited for 10 years and has previous held management roles at Ergon Energy and Emerson Network Power. He has also recently served as a Board Member of the Energy Users Association of Australia and the Transgrid Advisory Council.
Anton Rohner currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer for UPC Renewables, and has over twenty years’ experience in management, development and finance in the renewable energy and resources sectors. For over five years, he held CFO roles for ASX200 listed companies.
Anton was Managing Director for Renewable Energy and Utilities at Macquarie Bank in Hong Kong where he was responsible for advising and securing developments in renewable energy and utilities across Asia and Africa. He was also Managing Director, Asia, for Roaring 40s, a partnership between China Light & Power and Hydro Tasmania, to develop and operate sources of renewable energy throughout Asia and Australia. This partnership developed and financially closed over 2000MW of wind projects in Asia and Australia.

Richard Brimblecombe is an experienced executive in the agri-business and finance sectors, with a deep industry knowledge of agribusiness and agricultural finance. Richard has experience in operation of agri-business gained through senior leadership roles at Namoi Cotton, Australia’s leading cotton processing and marketing organisation, and as General Manager for Qld / NT for Landmark Services, a leading rural services business. Richard has also served in senior executive roles in the finance industry, specialising in lending to the rural sector, including as Head of Specialised Agribusiness Solutions (Qld/NT) for Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Chief Executive Officer of StockCo (Australia) Pty Ltd, Australia’s and New Zealand’s largest specialist livestock financier. He most recently served as Executive Chairman of Quantum Power Limited. Richard holds an EMBA from Bond University and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mr Ricato was appointed as CEO and Managing Director on 6 July 2018. Craig brings over 17 years’ international experience with listed and private companies in senior executive and director roles across the energy, construction, resource and professional services industries.
Warren has over ten years’ experience building and growing successful businesses in Australia and South Africa. He is experienced in business strategy, account management, business development, financial trading, financial management, HR management, contract and commercial management, project management, and Service Level Agreements. Warren successfully delivered 27 Projects (General Outages, Return to Service and New Build) across the EMEA Power Generation Market (predominately stator and rotor – fossil fuels) totalling over 7,500 MW. He has previously worked Siemens Energy EMEA, where he held various roles including Project Manager, Commercial Manager and Site Manager as a Siemens Representative. Warren developed the Siemens Clean Condition Procedure for Komati Power Station – South Africa, which is still in use today.

Damian Galvin joined ReNu Energy as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary in 2017. Damian is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the management of all aspects of the financial and corporate affairs of fast-growing companies in the energy and resources sector in Australia and overseas.
A former Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of coal seam gas pioneer, Queensland Gas Company Limited, Damian headed QGC’s corporate function for five years from 2001, as the company grew from a junior CSG explorer to a significant gas producer.
Damian subsequently guided WestSide Corporation Ltd through an IPO in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer and continued to lead the finance and corporate functions through the acquisition of a controlling interest in the Dawson CSG fields in 2010 through until after its takeover and subsequent de-listing in 2014.
He gained his initial financial and commercial experience with Price Waterhouse and Premier Oil Plc and more recently was Chief Financial Officer of White Energy.
Christopher Allison has a wealth of experience in commercial solar having overseen the installation of solar PV into over one third of all public schools in Qld. He has also overseen key solar PV installations for Townsville City Council, Adelaide City Council, Sunshine Coast Council, Raytheon and St Vincent de Paul Society buildings. As the National Sales Manager for Origin Energy Solar, Christopher also managed the sales and installations teams for solar PV into domestic and commercial premises across Australia which at the time had Origin as the largest PV solar seller and installer. Chris has over 27 years experience in the energy sector in Sales Management and Business Development covering natural gas, contestable electricity, LPG as well as solar PV and electric vehicles. Christopher has also diversified into Business Development and Management roles with Spotless Group and the agricultural sector.

Friederike Graser joined the Company in 2010 as Communications Officer and became the Investor Relations and Communications Manager in 2013. Friederike is responsible for investor and public relations, marketing, and corporate communications activities for the Company and its subsidiaries. In her roles at ReNu Energy she has gained experience in capital raising, mergers and acquisitions and the broader renewable energy industry. She is passionate about advancing renewable energy generation in Australia, and furthering the sustainability of the agribusiness sector. Friederike has previously worked in marketing and business development roles within the food processing and value adding industry.
Friederike holds a Bachelors Degree in International Business, from Griffith University.
